Claims ≠ administration
Political geometry has an actor, a type, a date, a source and a legend. A claim never quietly becomes a border.
THE METHOD / OPEN BY DESIGN
Claims ≠ administration
Opened Atlas is designed as a living geographic-temporal knowledge system. In the pilot, that ambition becomes a small promise: every important number and line should tell you what it means, where it came from and how certain it is.
POLITICAL GEOMETRY / LEGEND
Four visible meanings.
Administered Solid fill · declared dataset and date.
Disputed boundary Dashed line · disagreement remains visible.
Attributed claim Hatched/transparent area · actor is named.
Uncertain extent Faded edge · evidence is approximate.
